Our Family
The Recktenwald family — hands, hearts, and the bakers behind Sugar & Grace.
Sugar & Grace started the way many good things do — with love, faith, and family at the center. We’re Tom and Stacey Recktenwald, childhood sweethearts who’ve spent a lifetime building something grounded in commitment, joy, and service. Tom trained as a chef; Stacey spent her career as a nurse. Together we raised four children, and these days we get to spoil a growing crew of grandkids too.
Stacey leads our kitchen as head baker and is usually the friendly voice you’ll hear from when you reach out. But the truth is, Sugar & Grace is a whole-family effort — every one of us has a hand in it, some in the kitchen and some behind the scenes. Staying close as a family matters to us, and so does sharing that warmth with the people we bake for.
We believe baking is hospitality. It’s comfort, celebration, and connection. So when you choose Sugar & Grace, you’re being welcomed in like family.

Everything we make is baked fresh, in small batches, from scratch. Seasonal specials rotate all year, and we keep gluten-free options on hand too. Come for the bread, stay for the cookies, and don’t leave without a mini bundt.

Hoping to set something aside for a special day? Send us a pre-order request and we’ll let you know what we can have freshly baked and ready in time. You’re not placing an order just yet — you’re telling us what you’d love, and we’ll get right back to you to confirm what we can deliver.
